KV240-CONTEST
YAGI-UDA DIRECTIONAL ANTENNA 2 ELEMENTS, 40 METERS, 85% SIZE
.png)
The KV240-CONTEST (2-element Yagi for the 40-meter band, 85% size) is an antenna with superior performance to conventional shortened 2-element antennas on the market and also superior to our conventional KV240 antenna. The antenna belongs to the full-size antenna category due to its slight shortening of only 15%. The idea behind this slight shortening is mainly to mitigate the risk of damage caused by weather conditions (winds, storms, heavy rain, etc.) since the antenna has much less wind drag and is lighter and cheaper than a full-size antenna, but without losing robustness or performance. Each characteristic of the antenna is treated in great detail, such as: construction and mechanical resistance calculations, performance, simulations and modeling via software, high-power capacity, choice of high-quality and resistant materials, long service life, upgradeability, practical tests, etc.
The antenna is mainly intended for DX and Contest stations. Target audience that understands that every detail makes a difference when seeking results, whether to obtain a good placement in competitions or hunt for an important DXCC.
